First Fridays with RPAA presents Desirée Roots

Richmond Performing Arts Alliance presents an RVA First Fridays celebration with a performance by Desirée Roots! Friday, March 2, 2018, we welcome everyone to a FREE performance in Rhythm Hall at Dominion Energy Center.

As an active member of the Richmond jazz and theatre scene, Desirée Roots has showcased her acting and singing talent regionally for over 35 years. Since her debut, Desirée has starred in over 30 stage productions, including lead roles as Effie White in "DREAMGIRLS", Sofia in "The Color Purple", and Caroline in "Caroline or Change" where she received the RTCC Award for Best Actress in a Musical. She has also portrayed Ella Fitzgerald in a centennial celebration of the music legend in a production she wrote and directed.
