Formed by the Council of Ministers of Ukraine in 1918, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine is one of the finest symphony orchestras in Eastern Europe. The Orchestra has gained international recognition and the symphony has released more than 100 sound recordings, which include both Ukrainian and international repertoires.

 

This evening’s performance includes Lysenko’s Overture to Taras Bulba, Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1, and Dvoƙák’s Symphony No. 7.
