SOUL AERIAL AND PERFORMING ARTS CENTER ADDS WONDER TO ANNUAL ALICE IN WONDERLAND PRODUCTION

(MARCH 1, 2024 - RICHMOND, VA) SOUL Aerial and Performing Arts Center brings their third-annual family-friendly cirque production of Alice in Wonderland to Dominion Energy Center, performing March 7-9, 2024.

 

The full-scale aerial cirque production of Alice in Wonderland takes you on Alice's Wonderland journey and into her deepest dreams. With jaw-dropping tricks that mesmerize the audience, patrons will find themselves amazed, in awe, and, at some points, holding their breath. All of Wonderland will be there, including the Mad Hatter, March Hare, the Jabberwocky, and of course the Red Queen! 

 

This year’s performance features over 70 aerialists, acrobats, and dancers ranging in age from 48 to just 5 years old, led by veteran student McKenna Young in her third year as the character of Alice.

 

“McKenna is a real life Alice,” said Flynn Cross, SOUL Aerial and Performing Arts Center owner. “As an aerialist, she already possesses a professional level of skill and talent, lighting up the stage and leaving audiences in awe. Just 16 years old, she is sure to go far in the cirque world... you can bet she will be gracing professional stages soon!”

 

To add to the wonder of the show, Cross and her staff choreographed the addition of cirque partner acrobatics this year. “The all new partner acrobatics is filled with gravity-defying flips, twists, lifts and balances,” said Cross. “These high level performers will captivate the audience with daring feats, thrills and seamless coordination.”
